JAMMU, Nov 17: A child of age about 18 months was killed today after hit by a bus near his residence in Pargwal area of Khour Block.
According to a police official, a speeding bus bearing registration number JKO2AF-5649 this afternoon hit an 18-month child namely Bikrant Singh son of Swarn Singh resident of Bela Jamana (Pargwal), near his residence.
He said that the child died on the spot. “The body of the deceased was sent for postmortem at Government Hospital, Pargwal, while a case FIR No 81/2018 under Sections 277/304-A/RPC was registered in this connection at police station Khour”, the official said, adding the accused driver namely Lakhvir Singh son of Kartar Singh of Channi Tana, was arrested and the bus seized.
