18 persons injured in accidents

SAMBA, July 26: Around 18 persons were injured in road accidents, here today.
As per police sources, a mini-bus bearing registration number JK02BC-1068 was on its way to Jammu from Bishnah, when it collided with electric transformer on Bishnah road near Ratna Resort due to negligent and rash driving by the driver, thereby causing injuries to around 14 passengers. After getting information, a team from Bari Brahmana Police Station rushed to the spot and rescued the injured persons.
All the injured persons were shifted to Om Hosptial Bari Brahmana and Sub District Hospital (SDH) Bishnah, where they were undergoing treatment, when last reports came in.
The injured persons have been identified as Deepak Kumar, son of late Janak Raj of Pathari, Bishnah, Moti Lal, son of Durga Dass of Ward Number 3 Bishnah, Gani Mohammad, son of Mulk Din of Bagh Jogian, Bari Brahmana, Jyoti Kumar, wife of Kuldeep Raj of Ward Number 4 Bishnah, Mumta Kumar, daughter of Darshan Kumar of Kothi Morh Bishnah, Rampal, son of Nanak Chand of Ward Number 12 Bishnah, Gourav Kumar, son of Dwaraka Dass of Jammu, Subash Chander, son of Kartar Chand of Karpalpur Jammu, Rajinder Kumar, son of Janak Raj, of Kotli Charkan, Rajinder Kumar, son of Kanshi Ram of Kotli Charkan Bishnah, Meena Devi, wife of Vikas Chander of Laswara Bishnah, Vipan Sharma, son of Jyoti Saroop of Rangpur Mulana RS Pura, Sumit Kumar, son of Satpal of Jammu and Roshan Chand, son of Bua Ditta of Kotli Charkan.
Meanwhile, four persons were injured in collision between two cars and a school bus near Balore area, falling under the jurisdiction of Samba Police Station.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to District Hospital Samba, where they were undergoing treatment, when last reports came in.
The injured have been identified as Shomna Devi, wife of Sumeet Singh of Bari Brahmana, Santosh Kumari, wife of Bodh Raj of Plamore, Ghulam Rasool, son of Bashir Ahmed of Sainik Colony and Kamal Kishore, son of Bidh Raj of Ranjri.
