JAMMU, Dec 30: Police here today seized 18 vehicles involved in illegal mining.
Police teams from Police Stations Khour, Miran Sahib, Channi Himmat, R.S Pura and Bishnah and Police Posts Chowki Choura, Phallain Mandal, Chatha and Sidhra seized the vehicles involved in illegal mining.
The seized vehicles were-three Tractor trolleys (two tractor bearing registration numbers JK02CB-9266 and JK21A-1589 and one without number) seized by Police Station Khour; two Tractor trolleys (one tractor bearing registration number JK02CV-8450 and one without number) seized by Police Station Miran Sahib; one Tipper bearing registration number JK02AQ-2425 seized by Police Station Channi Himmat; one tractor trolley bearing Chasis number MBNBEBBAZKNB00464 seized by Police Station R.S Pura; one Tipper bearing registration number JK02CQ-3181 seized Police Station Bishnah; four vehicles-one excavator bearing Chasis number BCEC140BHC002808, two dumpers bearing registration Nos. JK20B-6723 and JK02CM-0935, one tractor trolley bearing Chasis No. 78NH11032AB were seized by Police Post Chowki Choura; four vehicles-one tractor trolley bearing registration no. JK02CT-3393 and three tractor trolleys with Chasis Nos. MBNAAALXBKJH03972, MBNGAALF2NRD00790 and MBNBG55AFLCN07362 were seized by Police Post Phallain Mandal; one tractor trolley bearing Chasis number MBNALALUPMRK0017 was seized by Police Post Chatha and one dumper bearing Registration No. JK02CU 6492 seized by Police Post Sidhra.
The recoveries were made by SHO Khour, Inspector Rattan Singh; SHO Miran Sahib, Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq; SHO Channi Himmat, Inspector Rajesh Khajuria, SHO R.S Pura, Inspector Pawan Kumar, SHO Bishnah, Inspector Vikram Sharma, I/C PP Chowki Choura, Pankaj Katoch, I/C PP Phallain Mandal, Ajesh Singh Jamwal, I/C PP Chatha, Harjinder Paul Singh and I/C PP Sidhra, Nitish Khajuria in their respective jurisdictions.
DMO Jammu was also intimated about the same.
