JAMMU : Eighth batch of 1,867 pilgrims today left for the holy Amarnath cave shrine from the Bhagwati Nagar located Yatri Niwas base camp here.
“A fresh batch of 1,867 Amarnath pilgrims left the base camp in a convoy of 55 vehicles for the cave shrine,” police spokesman here said.
They said that the batch included 1,464 male, 262 females, 131 sadhus, 8 sadhvis and two transgenders left the base camps in 43 buses and 12 LMVs. (agencies)
