KATHUA, July 6: Former Minister and senior National Conference leader Dr Mustafa Kamal has alleged that PDP was trying to mislead people and disturb peace in the State.
Addressing a party workers’ convention here today, Dr Kamal said the PDP is misleading the people by raising false and fabricated hollow slogans in the State. He alleged that PDP leadership is power hungry and always tried to disturb peace in the State. For its petty political gains, the party leadership is trying to vitiate peaceful atmosphere.
Dr Kamal said it was PDP and its leadership who exploited the innocent youth of Kashmir in 2010 by giving them financial aid and tried to shake the traditional communal harmony of the State and tried to create a wedge between the State and the rest of the country. He asked the rank and file of the party to remain vigilant and give befitting reply to such mischievous elements.
Provincial president of the party Rattan Lal Gupta also spoke on the occasion and said that Coalition Government under the leadership of Omar Abdullah was doing best job. Sheikh Bashir Ahmed, Kashmira Singh and Dhyan Chand district president also addressed the gathering.
Meanwhile, in addressing yet another party meeting at Bathindi in Jammu today, Dr Kamal asserted that youth are the vital organ of the society and the State’s future was in their hands. He said Chief Minister Omar Abdullah himself is young and dynamic and he needs young blood for the development of the State. He asked youth activists to work with dedication in the party and help young Chief Minister. The meeting was organized by former Corporator of JMC Rashida Begum.
