19.5 g heroin recovered from 3 peddlers

JAMMU, Jan 18: Jammu Police today arrested three drug peddlers from different locations and recovered 19.5 grams of heroin from their possession.
A team of Police Station Bishnah constituted under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Singh and led by SHO Bishnah Inspector Vikram Sharma rounded up a suspect namely Romesh Mehra alias Lucky son of Shiv Lal, resident of Sarore (Bishnah) at Kotli Charakan naka and during search, recovered 4 grams of heroin from his possession.
In this regard, a case FIR Number 20/2023 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Bishnah and the accused arrested.
Further, a team of Police Station Miran Sahib led by SHO Miran Sahib Inspector Zaheer Mustaq rounded up a suspect identified as Deepak Kundal son of Yash Pal Singh, resident of Banota (RS Pura) during a special naka and recovered 5.50 grams of heroin from his possession. In this regard, a case FIR Number 14/2023 U/S 8/21/22/60 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Miran Sahib and the accused got arrested.
Also at another naka in the jurisdiction of Police Station Gangyal, a police team rounded up a suspect namely Vishal Kumar son of Mohan Lal, resident of Gangyal (near Durga Temple) who was coming near Coca Cola factory. During search, 10 grams of heroin was recovered from the possession of the accused. In this regard, a case FIR Number 10/2023 U/S 8/21/22/ NDPS Act was registered by Police Station Gangyal and the accused arrested.
