UDHAMPUR, Aug 23: Udhampur Police rescued 19 bovines and seized the vehicle used for the smuggling purpose.
According to the police report, a team of Police Station Udhampur led by SHO Udhampur Raghuvir Singh, intercepted a Truck bearing registration number JK02CQ- 1123 at Jakhani naka point on National Highway Udhampur.
Sensing trouble, driver of the Truck fled away from the spot after leaving behind the vehicle on road. Police rescued all the bovine animals and seized the vehicle.
In this regard, a case FIR under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Udhampur and further investigation of the case is underway.
