RAJOURI, Sept 24: The police rescued 19 bovine animals and arrested five smugglers in this connection in Rajouri area last night.
Official sources said that a police party led by SHO Rajouri during naka at Darhali bridge intercepted Tata mobile vehicles bearing registration Numbers JK 11 D 4714, JK02BX 2745, JK11C 3967, JK22A0129 and JK21A 3912. During checking 19 bovines were founded loaded in these vehicles.
The vehicles were seized and their drivers arrested. The police registered cases in this connection. Those arrested were identified as Khadim Hussain from Narian, Kabir Khan from Khatrian Kalakote, Mohd Yousuf from Bathindi Jammu and two others, whose names were not shared by police.
