SRINAGAR, Nov 6: After remaining suspended on account of Eid-ul-Azha, the Karvan-e-Aman bus service resumed with nineteen fresh Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK) guests, among 113 people, crossing sides on the Line of Control (LoC) at Kaman post, the last Indian military post in Uri sector in the Kashmir valley.
The weekly bus service between Srinagar and Muzaffarabad, capital of PoK was suspended on October 29 on account of Eid.
Official sources said here today 19 PoK guests, including eight women and three children, arrived at Kaman post after crossing the Aman Setu, peace bridge on foot, to meet their relatives separated in 1947.
Similarly 18 residents of the Kashmir valley, who had gone to PoK and celebrated Eid with their relatives, also returned back to their homes. They included eight women, sources said.
They said 40 Kashmiris, including 21 women and three children, crossed over to other side of the LoC to meet their relatives.
As many as 36 PoK residents, who had come here in previous buses also returned to their homes. They included 17 women and two children.
