UDHAMPUR, Feb 3: Atleast nineteen passengers were injured when the mini-bus they were traveling in skidded off the road and turned turtle near Kaldi area of the district, here today.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK14E-3599 was on its way from Udhampur to Satyalta, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it turned turtle near Kaldi area.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and started rescue operation.
All the injured persons were rushed to District Hospital in police and other vehicles, where they were undergoing treatment, when last reports came in.
The injured have been identified as Sheela Devi (40), wife of Ganesh Sharma of Pakhlai, Kalash Devi (39), wife of Shiv Ram of Railway, Renu Sharma (6), daughter of Sudesh Kumar of Hartyan, Shushma Devi (23), wife of Pawan Kumar of Berhmeen, Pawan Kumar (26), Rani Devi, wife of Mulkh Raj of Satyalta, Rava Devi (29), wife of Yashpaul of Berhmeen, Yesh Paul (39), son of Prean Singh of Berhmeen, Hans Raj (40), son of Dunni Chand of Hartyan, Brij Lal (37), son of Sukh Ram of Saityalta, Shotu Ram (25), son of Sansar Chand of Sailthyr, Puja Devi (23), wife of Shotu Ram of Sailthyr, Kalasho Devi (40), wife of Madan Lal of Kahll, Arjun Singh (25), son of Chain Singh of Sulghar, Polli Devi (50), wife of Suram Chand of Berhmeen, Bishan Dass (62), son of Kaka Ram of Balyater, Sohan Lal (37), son of Bager Singh of Sughlar, Sunil Sharma (18), son of Ganesh Kumar of Pakhlai and Manju Rani, daughter of Uttam Chand of Berhmeen.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at concerned police station and investigation started.
