MENDHAR, Jan 1: Police seized 19 vehicles and challaned 24 drivers for violations of traffic rules in Mendhar Sub Division of district Poonch today.
Official sources said that for providing some relief to the local public from traffic jams and idle and wrong parking of vehicles in the main Bazaar of Mendhar town, the police launched special drive today.
During the drive, the Police party from Mendhar led by SHO Manzoor Kohli seized bikes, Tippers, Tata Mobiles and Tata Sumo vehicles. The police has appealed the general public not to wrongly park their bikes/ vehicles otherwise, they will be lifted. It said that this special drive would be continued. The locals have widely lauded the efforts of police.
