1st Ladakh Taekwondo C’ship concludes at Kargil

KARGIL, Nov 12: First UT level Ladakh Taekwondo Championship, organized by Ladakh Taekwondo Association (LTA), concluded at Indoor Stadium, here today.
Colonel AK Shivkumar, General Manager National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation (NHIDCL) was the chief guest of the event.
Chief Planning Officer, Abdul Hadi, DYSSO Kargil, Muhammad Hussain Rehnuma, Project Director Kargil Renewable Energy Development Agency (KREDA) Kacho Ahmad Khan, president LTA Gulzar Hussain Munshi, general secretary LTA Anayat Ali Shotopa, general secretary District Olympic Association Syed Mehrajuddin Shah, Shahnawaz veer, Mohd Ali president AKTTA and members of executive body of LTA along with parents and players were present during the concluding ceremony.
Colonel AK Shivkumar congratulated the players and LTA for successfully conducting the sports event and also appreciated the players for their commitment towards the sports despite facing harsh climatic conditions in the region.
CPO Abdul Hadi said that the District Administration Kargil is fully committed to facilitate the players with modern facilities and infrastructure to upgrade their skills.
While hailing the achievements of players from Ladakh at various national and international platforms, president LTA Gulzar Hussain Munshi said that the gold medallist from this championship will play at upcoming national level Taekwondo games. Later, medals and mementoes were distributed among the winners and participants.
A total of 232 players of different age categories from various associations across Ladakh participated in the championship.
