REASI, Jan 11: The Police arrested three notorious drug peddlers and recovered 2.4 Kg of charas and 1.5 gms of heroin from their possession in Reasi area.
Official sources said that during routine checking at Zero Morh, Talwara a police party led by Insp Vijay Sharma under the supervision of Iftkhar Ahmed DySP Headquarters apprehended two drug peddlers and recovered 2.4 kg of charas from their possession.
Arrested drug peddlers were identified as Nazir Hussain, son of Abdul Rehman from Bathindi in Jammu and Mohd Nazir alias Bulli, son of Furqan Ali from Juda, Reasi.
On this a case FIR No 6/2023 U/S 8/20 NDPS Acts stand registered at the Police Station Reasi and investigation initiated to unearth forward and backward linkages.
In another incident a Police party while checking at Thapa Chowk apprehended one drug peddler Manik Sharma, son of Satpaul Sharma, resident of Trintha, Reasi and recovered 1.5 gms of heroin (Chitta) from his possession.
In this regards a case FIR No 08/2023 US 8/21/22 NDPS Act stand registered at Police Station Reasi and investigation initiated.
