POONCH, Sept 20: The police has arrested two absconders including a rape accused from two different locations in district Poonch today.
35-year-old Mohd Qasim, son of Mohd Shabir, resident of Kalai, wanted in a rape case was nabbed from Poonch Bus Stand area today. He was wanted by Poonch police vide FIR No. 30/2011 under Section 376 RPC. He will be produced in the court of law tomorrow.
Another wanted accused was arrested by Surankote police after the lapse of long 23 years. He was booked under FIR No. 122/ 1990 under Sections 452/323/447/145/148 RPC and was arrested from Gunthal area of Surankote. He has been identified as Mushtaq Ahmed, son of Shah Mohd, resident of Gunthal.
