RAMBAN, May 16: Batote police arrested two absconders, who were evading their arrest since long, a police official said.
The accused have been identified as Manzoor Ahmed, son of Sanaullah of Taki Pora Goni, Tehsil Karhama District Baramullah and Noor Alam, son of Amanat Ali of Ragoora, Sidhra District Jammu.
Manzoor Ahmed was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 53/18 under section 8/15/29 NDPS Act, while Noor Alam was evading his arrest in a case registered under FIR Number 50/17 under section 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act. Both the cases stands registered with Police Station Batote.
Further investigation into the cases is going on.
Police team led by SHO Batote Inspector Nazir Ahmed made the arrest under supervision of DySP Headquarters Ramban Asgar Malik, Additional SP Ramban Sanjay Parihar and SSP Ramban Anita Sharma.
