2 more Amarnath yatris die, toll reaches 32

SRINAGAR : Two more Amarnath pilgrims from Maharashtra and Punjab died during the pilgrimage, taking the toll to 32 so far since the commencement of the 45-year-long annual yatra from June 28.
A yatra official said a 61-year-old Ram Das, resident of Nasik, Maharashtra suffered a cardiac arrest at Panjterni on traditional Pahalgam track. He was rushed to nearby medical camp where he died.
He said another pilgrim Praveen Kumar, a 45-year-old from Roop Nagar, Bhagtan Amritsar, Punjab suffered a massive heart attack at Dumail on way back to Baltal base camp after paying obeisance at holy cave. However, he died when he was being taken to medical camp.
