2 Army men hurt as pistol goes off

RAJOURI, Feb 1: Two Army men were injured in an accidental fire in their unit in Rajouri area today.
Official sources said that incident took place when the Army personnel from 43 RR at Setha Gap were depositing their weapons in the unit store. Suddenly, a 09 mm pistol went off, causing injuries to Naik Mahender Singh and Rifleman, Arun Kumar. They were rushed to Army Hospital Rajouri and then referred to Command Hospital, Udhampur. A court of inquiry has been initiated by the CO of the unit.
