2 arrested; fake currency, drugs recovered

MENDHAR, Feb 26: The police today apprehended two persons and recovered some fake currency and 20 gms charas from their possession.
A police spokesman said that police party acting on a tip off raided a shop near Degree College and recovered fake currency worth Rs 3500. All the notes were of Rs 500 denomination. The police also recovered 10 gm charas. The accused was identified as Mohd Taj, son of Mohd Hussain of Chak Banola. Later, the police picked up another vegetable vendor Zareer Ahmed and also recovered 10 gms charas from him. The police registered case and started investigation.
