Srinagar, Dec 31: Police in Ganderbal today arrested two persons and seized two vehicles for illegal extraction and transportation of minerals.
Official sources said that police party from PS Ganderbal arrested two persons and seized two vehicles (Tippers) bearing registration numbers JK03A-0911 and JK04-9101 involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals from Nallah Sindh near Waheedpora Gangerhuma, Ganderbal.
Those arrested were identified as Mehraj-ud-din Guroo son of Gh Mohd Guroo and Sajad Ahmad Rather, son of Nazir Ahmad Rather, both residents of Gangerhuma.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 232/2021 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Ganderbal and further investigation has been initiated.
