SAMBA, June 13: The modesty of a 15 year old girl was outraged by two persons in Brain village near here today.
According to police, the incident took place last night when the minor girl had gone for nature’s call near her residence. Two persons waylaid the girl and allegedly outraged her modesty by taking her to a secluded place.
The girl narrated the incident after returning home following which her parents lodged a complaint with the police. Acting swiftly a police party led by SHO Samba, Sanjeev Kumar Chib and Sub Inspector, Parshotam Kumar, under the overall supervision of SSP, Samba, Joginder Singh, Additional SP Faisal Qureshi and DySP Samba, Virender Singh raided the village and arrested both the culprits.
They have been identified as Sanjeev Kumar and Kabir Dass both residents of Barian Samba. The police has registered a case under relevant Sections of the law against them.
The medical examination of the girl was also conducted and the investigation is on. Meanwhile the people have expressed their strong resentment against the act and demanded stern action under law against the culprits.
