JAMMU, July 26: Two persons have been arrested for smuggling bovine animals.
As per police sources, based on reliable inputs, a team from Jhajjar Kotli police station laid a naka and intercepted a Srinagar bound truck.
During checking, police rescued 10 bovine animals from the vehicle and arrested two persons, who have been identified as Surinder Kumar and Surjeet Kumar, both residents of RS Pura.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Jhajjar Kotli police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Jhajjar Kotli Inspector Vikram Singh Manhas made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Dr Amit Sharma and SP Rural Arun Gupta.
