RAMBAN, Aug 29: Banihal police arrested two persons along with illicit liquor.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Banihal police station laid a naka at T-Chowk and intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK22-1278.
During checking, police recovered one bottle and 36 pouches of illicit liquor and 7 beer cans from the vehicle and arrested two persons, who have been identified as Zahid Nabi Ganie, son of Ghulam Nabi Ganie of Lassipura Pulwama and Irfan Ahmed Bodha, son of Nazir Ahmed of Shirpura District Anantnag.
A case under FIR Number 136/17 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Banihal police station and investigation started.
