RAJOURI, Feb 8: The police arrested two persons for their alleged involvement in a sacrilegious act and seized a vehicle along with two gunny bags containing animal flesh this evening.
A police spokesman said that acting on a specific information, a police party from Rajouri swung into action and seized a Tata Mobile vehicle No. JK-11/4532, near Pir Kanju on the outskirts of the town on Poonch road and found two gunny bags containing animals flesh in it. Two persons were arrested in this connection. They were selling the meat to the people.
Those arrested were identified as Mohd Sahir, son of Mohd Mushtaq and Shafiq Ahmed, son of Ghulam Mohd, residents of Khablan in Behrote area of Thannamandi. A case was registered against them at Rajouri, police station.
