JAMMU, Apr 5: Miran Sahib and Gajansoo police arrested two persons along with large quantity of illicit liquor.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Miran Sahib Police Station led by SHO Gurpal Singh under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan arrested a man along with large quantity of illicit liquor.
The arrested person has been identified as Gurmeet Singh, son of Amolak Singh of Ward Number 1, Simbal Camp, District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 52/2020 under section 48-F Excise Act and 188 IPC has been registered at Miran Sahib Police Station and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a team from Border Police Post (BPP) Gajansoo led by ASI Sanjeet Singh under the supervision of SHO Kanachak Inspector Ravi Singh Parihar and SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul laid a naka at Galwaday Chak and intercepted a car bearing registration number JK21A-0264.
During checking, police team recovered 40 quarters and 10 bottles of illicit liquor from the car and arrested the accused, who has been identified as Suresh Kumar, son of Puran Chand of Gajansoo District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 56/2020 under section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Kanachak Police Station and investigation initiated.
