JAMMU, May 16: Bishnah Police arrested two persons along with illicit liquor.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Bishnah Police Station arrested two persons along with 10 litres of illicit liquor.
Around 300 litres lahan, utensils, distillery and other items used to prepare illicit liquor were also destroyed on the spot.
The arrested persons were identified as Raman Kumar, son of Laju Ram and Ashu Kumar, son of Kasturi Lal, both residents of village Deoli, Tehsil Bishnah District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 80/2020 under section 48 (a), (e) and (f) Excise Act has been registered at Bishnah Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bishnah Inspector Deepak Pathania and assisted by PSI Anil Sharma, SgCt Sham Lal, SgCt Surjeet Lothra, SPO Pawan Kumar and SPO Munish Kumar made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan and SP Headquarters Jammu Adil Hamid.
