POONCH, Feb 3: With the arrest of two persons, Surankote police claimed to have solved a theft cases, making recovery of stolen goods worth over Rs 2 lakh.
A senior police official said that acting the complaint of one Mohd Bashir, son of Noor Hussain, resident of Lassana village, running a hardware shop at Hari Mohalla, Surankote that on the intervening night of January 26-27, some people broke opened locks of his shop and decamp with goods worth over rupees two lakh. On this, the police registered a case FIR No. 21/ 2019 at Surankote Police Station and started investigation.
SSP Poonch, Ramesh Angral constituted a special team under the supervision of SDPO Surankote, Reyaz Ahmed which solved the case and arrested the accused persons. They were identified as Mohd Ishaq, son of Mohd Qasim of Marhote and Ameen Ahmed, son of Qayoom Ahmed, resident of Samote. The stolen goods were also recovered at their instance.
