RAJOURI, May 13: The police nabbed two thieves in Rajouri, who were part of a gang involved in lifting of motorcycles from different parts of the district.
SSP, Chandan Kohli said that a man from Dhangri recently lodged a complaint in Police Station Rajouri that his motorcycle No. JK11A/ 0391 has been stolen from the village after which a case in FIR No. 242/2020 U/S 379 IPC was registered.
The investigation was initiated by team of police comprising of Deputy SP Headquarters Surinder Khadyar and Station House Officer Rajouri, Sameer Jillani under the supervision of Additional SP Rajouri Liyaqit Ali.
During the course of investigation, police succeeded in busting a gang of bike lifters by arresting two persons namely- Zaffer Hussain, son of Abdul Hussain, a resident of Karhad in Kotranka and Aftar Hussain, son of Mohammad Iqbal, a resident of Targyot in Kalakote.
SSP said that both the accused admitted their involvement in the commission of crime and on their disclosures, the motorcycle stolen from Dhangri village along with one other motorcycle bearing registragion number JK11 2998 have been recovered.
