2 bikers killed, 2 injured as truck hits 3 motorcycles at SIDCO Chowk

SAMBA, Mar 22: Two motorcyclists died while two others were injured seriously after a rashly driven truck hit three bikes in a row at SIDCO Chowk Bari Brahmana early this morning.
As per reports, while one biker died on the spot another breathed his last on way to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu. The two injured are undergoing treatment in the Hospital.
The truck bearing Registration Number JK02E-8567 was on way from Bari Brahmana to Birpur when accident took place. The truck was in a fast speed as it reached the SIDCO Chowk the driver could not control the vehicle and hit the three motorcycles in a row with the result one biker died on the spot and three others were seriously injured. Out of three motorcycles one was without number while two were bearing registration numbers JK02BJ 8728 and JK02AR 1093.
The deceased was identified as Kuldeep Singh, son of Punjab Singh of Lala Chak Bishnah while the another person died on way to GMCH Jammu. He has been identified as Satpaul son of Dharam Chand of Kotli, RS Pura.
The two injured were identified as Jaswinder Singh, son of Mohinder Singh of Seoura Bishnah presently under treatment at GMC Jammu and Sabita Sambyal wife of Tilak Singh of Sangwali Mandi Samba presently under treatment at ESIC Hospital, Bari Brahmana.
The Bari Brahmana police has registered a case under relevant sections of law in this regard and arrested the driver. The police has also seized the truck and started the further investigation.
Soon after the accident a large number of local people and passersby assembled at the accident site and assisted the police in shifting the injured to Hospital and shifted the bikes from the area to allow free movement of traffic on the road.
