Srinagar Jan 17: Two residents of the Ichgam hamlet in central Kashmir’s Budgam district have been charged with littering and dumping trash on the side of the road.
An official said that the duo was charged with littering and fostering an environment conducive to contagious diseases. He said the complaint was filed at the Budgam police station in accordance with the pertinent IPC sections. “Our Panchayats work tirelessly to keep the villages clean, but on the other hand, such careless residents litter and throw trash on the highways, for which legal action has been taken,” he said.
He claims that the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan effort seeks to maintain cleanliness in the towns and villages of the area.
