JAMMU, Aug 21: Two persons were booked for possessing banned Chinese thread (Gattu dor) in Jammu district today.
Amit Dogra and Munish Salpona, both residents of Janipur, were booked after banned gattu strings were recovered from their residential complexes cum shops, said an official.
He said the action was taken by Tehsildar Jammu North, Aman Kumar Anand and Naib Tehsildar Mishriwala, along with a police team.
Meanwhile, the District Magistrate has emphasized the need for all the individuals to refrain from the sale and use of the banned thread and has further warned of stern action against anyone found guilty of violating the orders.
