JAMMU, Oct 2: Police today arrested 2 bovine smugglers and rescued two milch animals from their possession.
Police spokesman said that, on specific inputs about bovine smuggling, police party from Akhnoor police station led by SHO Mahesh Sharma, laid a naka at Garkhal and intercepted a load carrier bearing registration number JK02AW 0473.
During checking, police recovered two milch animals and arrested driver of the load carrier Narinder Singh, son of Babu Singh and Ashok Kumar, son of Sewa Ram, both residents of Deoura, Pargwal, tehsil Akhnoor.
A case under FIR number 224/12 has been registered at Akhnoor police station and investigation started.
