2 brothers arrested for abducting sisters

RAMBAN, Aug 30: Banihal Police arrested two brothers for kidnapping two sisters.
As per police sources, a man hailing from Nowgam area lodged a complaint with Police Station Banihal stating that their daughters were kidnapped by two brothers namely Mohammad Wasim and Tabraiz Ahmed, both residents of Bihar.
The abductors were working as mason in the area of the complainant from the past two years and fell in love with the daughters of the complainant, sources said, adding that Mohammad Wasim and Tabraiz Ahmed also forwarded the marriage proposal, which the complainant rejected.
Fed up with the rejection of the marriage proposals, both brothers married the complainant’s daughters in court and later took them to their native place Bihar.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 114/19 under section 366 and 363 RPC was registered at Banihal Police Station and both the abductors were arrested from Bihar.
The girls were also rescued, sources said, adding that all the four have been brought back to Banihal for further investigation into the case.
The statement of the girls will be recorded in the Court for further investigation into the case, sources added.
When contacted, SDPO Banihal Sajjad Sarwar confirmed about the arrest of the abductors and recovery of the kidnapped girl. Further investigation into the case is going on, he added.
