JAMMU, Apr 16: Nagrota Police arrested two brothers for attacking police team and injuring two cops.
As per police sources, a call was received at Police Station wherein the caller narrated that some people were fighting inside a residential quarter in TRT Nagrota.
On receiving the information, a police party led by PSI Zahid of Police Station Nagrota immediately reached the spot to diffuse the situation.
When the police party tried to intervene and stop the fighting, two persons attacked the police team in which 2 police personnel sustained grievous injuries.
Acting swiftly, a team from Police Station Nagrota led by SHO Inspector Mohammad Shoket laid nakas at different locations and arrested two brothers, who attacked police team and injured cops.
The arrested persons were identified as Avinash Krishan Sharma, son of Sunder Lal Pishan and his brother Aman Pishan, residents of TRT Nagrota.
A case under FIR Number 141/2021 under Sections 307, 353 and 332 IPC has been registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
