RAJOURI, Dec 11: A middle aged woman and a youth committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance in two separate incidents in Rajouri district.
A police spokesman said that 40-year-old Zarina Kouser, wife of Abdullah, resident of Surankote in Rajouri became serious after she consumed some poisonous substance at her residence last night. She was rushed to district hospital where she died during last mid night as her condition deteriorated.
In yet another similar incident, one Abdul Rashid, son of Mohd Sharief, resident of Pangai village in Thannamandi consumed some poisonous pills today. He was referred to district hospital Rajouri from Thannamandi. As his condition worsened, he died this afternoon. The police has taken cognizance of both the cases.
