Srinagar, May 22: Police today suspended two cops of a Police Station in North Kashmir’s Pattan after a video surfaced on social media in which two men accused in a murder case were being interrogated.
The cops had earlier arrested the wife of the man-who was allegedly murdered-and a man with whom she is allegedly in relation with in connection with the case

Also, the Police Department has initiated an inquiry against the concerned SHO.
Police in a statement issued here said that a video purported to be of a police investigation/ interrogation is doing rounds on social media.
“The same (video) has been found to be pertaining to the blind murder case of March 2021 of PS Pattan which was solved last month. Both accused shown in the video had been arrested for the murder of the husband of the woman shown in the video; the act of the video is highly unprofessional and unbecoming of disciplined police,” the police said.
Police said that two officials have been suspended for the same and enquiry has been initiated against the SHO concerned. “Supervisory officer has been reprimanded,” the police said.
