2-day awareness campaign on ‘Swachhta Hi Sewa’ begins at Nowshera

RAJOURI: As part of nationwide campaign ‘Swachhta Hi Seva’, the Rajouri, Anantnag and Poonch units of Directorate of Field Publicity, Union Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, started two day awareness campaign here today.

The programme is aimed at to spread awareness among rural masses about the nationwide sanitation campaign “Swachhta Hi Seva” launched by President of India on September 15, 2017 to create an environment of cleanliness across the country in the spirit of JAN ANDOLAN.

On the first day of the campaign, a painting competition, a quiz contest and a rally was organized.

In the painting competition, which was based on theme of Swachhta Hi Sewa, 32 students from 16 schools of Nowshera and Dandessar zones participated.

In quiz contest, 12 students from 6 higher secondary schools of Nowshera and Dandessar zones participated.

In painting competition, Baljeet kour of GGHSS Nowshera bagged first position where as second position was shared by Shiksha Choudhary of GGHS and Mariyam Tarika of GGHSS Nowshera while third position was shared by Dhreej Sharma of GHS Sangpur and Yasmeen Kouser of GBHS Rajpur Kabila.

In Quiz contest, Gulshaira Mirza and Mansee Choudhary of GGHSS Nowshera bagged first position where as Gagandeep Singh and Harshit Sharma of GBHSS Nowshera stood second while Divum Singh and Ashutosh Sharma   of GHSS Seri shared the third place.

Later, a rally was flagged off by  Ashok Sharma  Principal GHSS Nowshera  in which students, teachers and locals participated and raised slogans of ‘SWACHHTA HI SEWA’ to spread awareness among rural masses about the importance of cleanliness.
