JAMMU, Mar 16: A two-day National Conference, jointly organized on “Advance Materials, Rare Earth & Critical Minerals” was concluded at Aryans College of Engineering today.
The conference was organized by AGC in collaboration with the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
Dr JK Saini, Director, Aryans College of Engineering addressed all on the importance of this conference.
The 12 session including inauguration & concluding were addressed by various eminent resource persons including Dr Navdeep Parashar, Shivani, SVIET, Banur, Dr Gaurav, Dr Arif, CGC Landran and Dr Varinder Singh, Gulzar Group.
It was concluded that advanced materials, critical minerals & metals are important areas that have the potential to transform the economy of the country across sectors and therefore, it is important to build our own supply chain especially in materials.
In the years ahead, ensuring reliable supplies of critical minerals will be key to the security of energy systems. The risks were also discussed.
Additionally it was also discussed that, the over-concentration in critical minerals markets today is unprecedented compared with any other major commodity we rely on in the modern world.
The conference was attended by 80 participants from various educational institutes.
