JAMMU, Aug 16: The two-day annual conference of principals, which was organised by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and inaugurated by officiating Deputy Commissioner, KVS, Jammu region, concluded here today.
A total of 29 principals of Kendriya Vidalayas of KVS, Jammu region, hailing from the State, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab participated in the conference.
The conference was based on the agenda points like academics, supervision, education at primary level, implementation of CCE and RTE, Role of Cluster in-charge principals, RTI-2005, conduct of courses new schemes of the Sangathan, use and regularization of funds, its provisions and executive powers, audit, pension, appointments of contractual staff, infrastructure facilities, conduct of CCA, sports, BS&G, adventure activities and others.
Official Deputy Commissioner, AS Gil, Assistant Commissioners, Usha Shamindra and BL Marodia, administrative officer, Pratap Singh, section officer, Nirmal Walia and Lalit Sharma from administration wing besides Kuldeep Sharma from accounts section spoke on their respective fields of specializations and clarified the doubts raised by the participants.
Apart from it interactive sessions on administrative affairs as well as financial matters were held and doubts clarified. Special discussions were held on improving the quality of education and providing more infrastructure facilities in the KVS system, new uniform pattern in KVS, accreditation standards and international collaboration, participation in various National and international events, KVS National Incentive Awards and National awards for KVS teachers.
An extensive discussion on e-library and its implementation in KVs as well as e-content based educational system in KVS, new sports and library policy in KVS, was also held.
