2 day Punjabi Writers’ Conference concludes

JAMMU, Dec 7: On the concluding day of 2-day All India Punjabi Writers’ Conference organised by J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages in Abhinav Theatre,two paper reading sessions were held followed by Punjabi Kavi Darbar.
In the first paper reading session Kanwal Kashmiri and Dr Janak Singh Kirti were in the presidium while S Rattan Singh Kanwal presented paper on the topic ‘Vartmaan daur te reyasti Punjabi novel: ik vishleshan’ and S Ajit Singh Mastana presented paper on the topic ‘Vartmaan daur te Punjabi maa boli: chunoutian te samadhan’.
In the second paper reading session S Deedar Singh and S Joginder Singh Pandhi were present in the presidium while Dr MP Singh presented paper on ‘Reyasti Punjabi sahit: vartman te bhawikh’ and Dr Baljit Singh Raina presented paper on the topic ‘ Jammu da rangmanch te Punjabi Natakaan di peshkari: ik vishleshan’.
During discussions on the papers presented some important issues were raised and discussed in detail. The speakers demanded that the full fledge section of Punjabi should be established in the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages and also said that the teaching of Punjabi in schools as compulsory subject should be started.
The welcome address and vote of thanks was presented by Dr Arvinder Singh Amn while S Popinder Singh Paras, editor Punjabi  conducted the proceedings.
Those poets who recited their poetry were: Amar Singh Kuka, Devinder Singh Vishavnagrik, Dr Janak Singh Kirti, Prof Ichpal Singh, Harbhajan Singh Upashak, M S Kamra, Pyara Singh Dhanjal, K K Shakar Dr.Monojit, Bachan Bharti, Balwinder Singh, Prof Surinder Seerat, Gursharan Singh Gulshan, Shamsher Singh Chouhalvi, Bhupinder Bhargva, Joginder Singh Pandhi, Desraj Danish, Pyasa Anjum, Daleep Singh Deepak, Saran Star, Dr Joginder Singh Shaan, Jasbir Singh Sarna, Bhagat Singh Zandiq, Mrs Amarjit Kaur Neer, Suraj Singh Suraj, Mohan Singh Mastana, Daleep Singh Sawan, Mangat Singh Jugnu, Harpreet Kour, Hazura Singh Hazur, Swami Anterneerav, Nirmal Gobindpuri, Ajit Singh Mastana and Kirat Singh Inqalabi.
Among others were present include: Prof Nirmal Vinod, Sham Talib, Amrik Singh Sathi, S Sewa Singh, Mrs Rajni, Mrs Neelam Kumari, Hardeep Singh Deep, Suraj Parkash Rattan, Hardeep Kaur Deepak, Vikramjit Singh Vicky, Er Sunil Sharma, VN Dil, Rajinder Singh Advocate.
