Srinagar, Dec 24: Two recently elected Independent District Development Council members from Shopian district today joined Apni Party at its office in Lal Chowk, here.
Both these victorious candidates joined the Apni Party in presence of Party president Altaf Bukhari who welcomed them into the party-fold. He assured them of full support in ensuring a holistic development of their constituencies.
Fazildin Deedaad and Abdul Rashid Lone who won DDC elections from Shopian joined the party. Fazildin Deedaad had contested and won DDC elections from Kellar-I of Shopian district. The Apni Party had not fielded its candidate from Kellar-I and had instead extended its full support to Deedad in this election.
Abdul Rashid Lone had contested and won DDC elections from Harmain-II district Shopian.
Bukhari congratulated the Party workers of Amirakadal constituency for their efforts and performance which resulted in Party’s success in Municipal by-elections concluded recently.
The Party had convened a meeting of its prominent workers from Amirakadal constituency at Party office in Lal Chowk to honour Mohammad Ashraf Dar for his win in the Municipal elections from Ward-Rawalpora.
