UDHAMPUR Mar 9: The police today recovered two dead bodies from different areas in Udhampur district.
According to police sources, the dead body of Kali Dass (36), son of Santu, resident of Mir village in Pancheri was recovered from a Nallah near Siroli village today. Some people noticed it lying in the Nallah and informed police.
A police party from Pancheri reached the site and after examining shifted it to Pancheri hospital for Postmortem. Later, it was handed over to the family for last rites. The police registered a case under 174 CrPC and started investigation.
Meanwhile, police recovered another dead body of a man from a Nallah near village Tirshi under Udhampur police jurisdiction today.
A police spokesman said that dead body of Mohan Lal (45), son of Amar Nath, resident of village Naroad in Tirshi area of Udhampur was lying in a nallah at some distance from his village. The police party after receiving information rushed to the area and took the body in its custody and later sent to Udhampur hospital for postmortem.
After conducting legal formalities the body of the deceased was handed over to the family. The police has registered a case and started investigation.
