AKHNOOR, Apr 4: Two bodies of unidentified persons were recovered from different places on the banks of Chenab river of Akhnoor today.

Reports said this morning villagers saw a dead body on the bank of Chenab river in Pargwal area. They informed the matter to Khaur police. The police reached the spot and took the semi-decomposed body in custody. It could not be identified, but the age of the deceased person is being told between 40-50 yrs. He was wearing a green T-shirt and blue pants.
Again in the afternoon, another body of a person was seen floating in the Chenab river at Jio Pota Ghat at Akhnoor. The police took the body in custody and sent it to the mortuary of GMC Jammu. The police has started investigation. A message was also flashed to the villages and towns in the up-stream under Akhnoor, Gharota, Reasi, Katra, Arnas, Sangaldan/ Gool and Ramban Police Stations.
