RAJOURI, July 12: Two boys were killed in separate road accidents in Mandi and Mendhar area of Poonch while a girl was electrocuted near Mandi today.
A police spokesman said that 12-yerar-old Mohd Shahid, son of Mohd Hanief, resident of Mandi ( Poonch) fell down from a tractor trolley in the nearby river today. With critical injuries, the boy was rushed to hospital where doctors declared him as dead. The police had registered a case in this connection.
Another report said that minor Sonu, son of Sarfraz Khan, resident of Sangiot was seriously injured after he was hit by an unknown vehicle at Bhata Durian this evening. He was rushed to Surankote Hospital, where he was declared as dead by the BMO, Dr Parvez Ahmed Khan. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
Meanwhile, minor Shamim Akhtar, daughter of Mohd Sadiq, resident of village Salani in Mandi received severe electric shocks at home today and was rushed to Mandi hospital by the family. She died after some time there. The police had taken cognizance of the matter.
