2 die in mishap, CRPF vehicle torched

Srinagar, Nov 8: Protesters this evening set a Central Reserve Police vehicle on fire and they in return resorted to aerial firing to disperse them after father son duo were killed in a road mishap in Dalgate area of Srinagar.
Reports said that there was accident involving a CRPF Gypsy and a Swift in which two persons, father and son duo travelling on motor cycle were killed.
Local protested against the death of two people and set afire the CRPF vehicle. CRPF fired in air to disperse the protesters.
A police spokesman said that in an accident at Boulevard  road Srinagar involving a Swift bearing registration number JK01N/7878, Gypsy  of CRPF and a Hero Pulsar bearing registration number JK01W/644, one person Mohammed Ashraf Hafiz son of Mohammad Sultan Hafiz resident of Brain Nishat and a pedestrian Nadeem Ahmad Chapri lost their lives today evening. “Police has lodged an FIR and the drivers of the Gypsy and Swift car have been arrested”, the spokesman said.
