Srinagar, Nov 8: Kashmir today reported two more COVID-19 deaths taking the fatality toll in Jammu and Kashmir to 1536 while 342 people tested positive for coronavirus in Valley increasing the J&K tally to 98892.
Those who succumbed to the virus include one each from Srinagar and Kupwara. The victim from Srinagar was a 70-year-old man from Habbak Naseembagh Srinagar who died five days after he was admitted to SKIMS Soura.
With these deaths, the fatality count has reached 1536 in J&K including -1017 in Valley.
Srinagar district with 375 deaths topped the list followed by Baramulla 148, Budgam 94, Pulwama 83, Kupwara 74, Anantnag 76, Kulgam 48, Bandipora 47, Shopian 35 and Ganderbal 35.
Kashmir reported 342 new COVID-19 cases today including 15 soldiers, taking the total case count in J&K to 98892.
Srinagar reported 122 cases, Baramulla 42, Budgam 40, Pulwama 19, Kupwara 13, Anantnag 17, Bandipora 24, Ganderbal 46, Kulgam 12 and Shopian 7.
With today’s cases, Srinagar has now 20413 positive cases with 1391 active, 18647 recovered, 375 deaths; Baramulla has 6493 positive cases with 966 active, 5378 recovered, 149 deaths; Pulwama reported 4779 positive cases with 191 active cases, 4505 recovered, 83 deaths; Kulgam has 2521 positive cases with 83 active, 2390 recoveries, 48 deaths; Shopian has 2259 positive cases with 104 active, 2120 recovered and 35 deaths; Anantnag district has 4310 positive cases with 190 active, 4045 recovered, 75 deaths; Budgam has 6256 positive cases with 306 active and 5857 recovered, 95 deaths; Kupwara has 4670 positive cases with 451 active, 4145 recovered, 74 deaths; Bandipora has 4144 positive cases with 1801 active, 3918 recovered, 46 deaths and Ganderbal has 3736 positive cases with 267 active cases, 3434 recoveries and 35 deaths.
And out of 98892 positive cases in J&K, 5678 are active, 91681 have recovered and 1533 died including 1015 in Kashmir division.
Out of 2486241 samples processed in Jammu and Kashmir, 2387349 have tested negative and 98892 positive.
Moreover, 456 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals including 285 from Kashmir valley.
