2 drug peddlers arrested

SRINAGAR, Apr 14: Police in its drive against drug menace arrested a two drug peddlers in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district today.
A Police spokesman said that police party of Police Post Frisal, Yaripora during a naka checking arrested a drug peddler identified as Abdul Gani of Frisal and recovered 22 kilograms of cannabis from his possession.
The spokesman said that in another incident, a drug peddler was arrested during a naka checking near Upper Bazar Qazigund and 14 kilograms of poppy straw was recovered from his possession.
The drug peddler was identified as Salam Din, a resident of Maler Kotla, Punjab and a case with FIR No. 86/2018 under section 8/15 NDPS Act was registered in Police Station Qazigund and investigation taken up.
