SRINAGAR, July 31: Police arrested two drug-peddlers and recovered contraband substance from their possession in Batmaloo area here today.
A Police spokesman said that during naka checking near Security line crossing, Police party of Police Station Batamaloo apprehended two drug peddlers identified as Mohammad Arif Janjuwa and Mumtaz Ahmad Janjuwa, both residents of Manchikrand Uri Baramulla and recovered 480 grams of narcotic drugs apparently brown sugar from their possession.
He said both the accused persons were arrested & contraband substance seized. In this regard, a case FIR No. 165/2018 under section 8/21, 29 NDPS Act stands registered in Police Station Batamaloo.
