JAMMU, Dec 12: Two drug peddlers have been arrested along with 5.200 kilograms of bhukki.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Gandhi Nagar Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02BW-0384.
During checking, police recovered 5.200 kilograms of bhukki from the possession of two persons riding on the vehicle and arrested them.
The arrested persons have been identified as Mohammad Mushtaq, son of Chirag Din of Karava Jaganu, District Udhampur and Faquir Ali alias Rafiq, son of Abdul Gani of Balihote, District Ramban.
A case under FIR Number 281/18 under Section 8/15 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Gandhi Nagar Inspector Sunil Singh Jasrotia along with Incharge Police Post Nehru Market SI Sandeep Charak and ASI Abdul Khurshed made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO South Dr Sunniya Ashkoor Wani, SP South Vinay Kumar and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
