JAMMU, Dec 16: Parade police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 25 grams heroin from their possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Parade Police Post laid a naka and intercepted two pedestrians.
During checking, police recovered 25 grams of heroin from the possession of the pedestrians and arrested both the pedestrians.
The accused have been identified as Jahangir Ahmed Wagay, son of Ghulam Qadir Wagay and Gulzar Ahmed Ganai, son of Ghulam Ahmed Ganai, both residents of District Kulgam.
A case under FIR Number 178/18 under section 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Pacca Danga and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Parade Police Post SI Vijay Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Pacca Danga Inspector Virender Gupta, SDPO City Varun Jandial, SP South Amritpal Singh and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
