KATRA, Apr 3: In separate incidents, Police arrested two notorious drug peddlers and recovered 600 grams of poppy straw and 200 grams of marijuana from their possession.
Reports said that during routine checking, Police party of Police Check Post Nomain intercepted one pedestrian namely Vinod Kumar son of Anand Rai of Mangalpur, District Nasik Maharshtra when he was on way from Maghal towards Katra town. During frisking, Police recovered 200 grams of marijuana like substance from his possession.
Police arrested the accused and registered case FIR number 99/2022, under section 8, 20 NDPS Act at Police Station Katra.
In another success, team of Police Check Post Searli Katra intercepted pedestrian Shahid Ali son of Jamal Din of Panjgrain, Tehsil Nagrota Jammu when he was on way from Panthal towards Katra town. Police recovered 600 grams poppy straw from his possession.
In this regards, case FIR number 100/2022, under section 8, 15 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Katra.
